..LAHAD DATU: Selepas 25 hari Operasi Daulat dilancarkan, pasukan keselamatan mengesahkan jumlah musuh kini kurang daripada 10 orang.

Pesuruhjaya Polis Sabah Datuk Hamza Taib berkata angka itu mengambil kira jumlah musuh yang ditembak mati dan ditangkap berbanding bilangan musuh semasa mula bertapak di Kampung Tanduo, 12 Feb lepas iaitu kira-kira 200 orang.

"Saya tidak boleh mengatakan bahawa musuh tidak ada atau sebaliknya...kami yakin musuh memang ada tetapi jumlahnya amat berkurangan, mungkin kurang dari 10 orang," katanya pada sidang akhbar di Markas Operasi di Felda Sahabat 16, dekat sini hari ini.

Sepanjang insiden pencerobohan, pasukan keselamatan menembak mati 68 militan, manakala 121 individu ditahan mengikut Akta Kesalahan Keselamatan (Langkah-Langkah Khas) 2012 (Sosma) dan 443 ditahan atas pelbagai kesalahan lain.

Beliau berkata gerakan ofensif yang disusuli operasi menggeledah dan membersih sehingga kini berjaya membersihkan tiga dari lima kampung yang menjadi lokasi persembunyian dan pertempuran antara pasukan keselamatan dan kumpulan pengganas.

Hamza berkata selepas Kampung Tanduo, Kampung Tanjung Batu dan Kampung Labian dibersihkan, pasukan keselamatan kini memberi tumpuan kepada kawasan Tanjung Bilis dan Lok Buani.

Beliau berkata penduduk Kampung Tanjung Labian akan dibenar pulang selepas ketua-ketua keluarga dan ketua kampung dibawa melawat ke kediaman mereka bersama-sama pasukan penilaian esok.

Bagi penduduk Kampung Tanjung Batu, Hamza berkata seramai 20 hingga 25 penghuni yang rumah mereka tidak mengalami kerosakan teruk akan dibenar pulang ke rumah masing-masing esok, manakala pemilik yang rumahnya musnah dibenar untuk terus tinggal di pusat pemindahan sementara.

Beliau berkata sebagai langkah keselamatan, anggota keselamatan akan terus ditempatkan di kampung berkenaan untuk berkawal dan mendominasi kawasan itu.

"Selain itu kami juga akan melaksanakan khidmat kepolisan lain untuk memulihkan keyakinan penduduk apabila berada di kampung itu," katanya.
