Pic: Harian MetroKUALA LUMPUR: Seorang bekas ketua setiausaha sebuah kementerian yang sudah bersara dan bergelar Datuk serta seorang rakannya yang juga berstatus sama ditahan bersama 36 pelayan pelanggan (GRO) dalam serbuan dilakukan sepasukan anggota penguatkuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (Jawi) di sebuah pusat karaoke di Bukit Bintang, malam kelmarin.

Dalam serbuan jam 7 malam itu, kedua-dua VIP terbabit berhibur dan dipercayai dalam keadaan mabuk.

Menurut sumber, ‘Datuk’ terbabit yang berusia lewat 50-an berlagak sombong dan mendakwa kebal daripada undang-undang.

“Datuk terbabit tidak gentar dengan kesalahan syariah yang dilakukannya, malah mencabar penguatkuasa Jawi untuk mengambil tindakan.

“Semua GRO disiasat mengikut Seksyen 9 Akta Kesalahan Jenayah Syariah Wilayah Persekutuan kerana mengingkari pihak berkuasa agama manakala kedua-dua VIP terbabit disiasat kerana bersubahat.

“Sabit kesalahan boleh membawa hukuman denda RM3,000 atau penjara tidak melebihi dua tahun atau kedua-duanya,” katanya.

Sementara itu, dalam serbuan berasingan sempena sambutan tahun baru, puluhan pengunjung remaja Islam yang asyik berpesta arak di sebuah disko terkemuka, di sini, nekad melompat dari tingkat atas disko berkenaan kerana takut diperiksa polis dan pihak berkuasa agama, awal pagi semalam.

Ada antara mereka cedera dan luka di anggota badan akibat terjatuh. Remaja berusia 18 hingga 25 tahun itu meneguk arak dan berpesta ketika serbuan.

Malah, terdapat pengunjung merempuh pintu hadapan dan melepaskan diri. Operasi dijalankan 60 anggota dan pegawai diketuai penguatkuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (Jawi) dengan kerjasama polis D7 KL dan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), jam 2 pagi semalam.
