Zainab Muhamad, 64, berkata, anaknya itu keluar pada pagi 19 Oktober lalu kerana mahu ke rumah kawannya di Jitra Jaya untuk mengajaknya ke perpustakaan di pekan Jitra.

“Anak makcik keluar pada jam 9 pagi dengan hanya membawa beg sekolah. Dia beritahu nak pergi sekejap saja, tetapi sehingga 12 tengah hari masih tak pulang.

“Oleh kerana bimbang dengan keselamatannya, makcik pergi ke rumah kawannya tetapi Siti Zibaidah tiada.

"Kemudian makcik hubungi rumah saudara pula tetapi mereka maklumkan anak makcik tidak pergi ke rumah mereka. Setelah jam 5 petang makcik buat laporan di Balai Polis Daerah Kubang Pasu,” katanya.

Zainab berkata, dia turut menghubungi anaknya menerusi telefon bimbit tetapi ada suara wanita lain yang menjawab panggilan dan wanita itu terus meletakkan telefon.

Selain itu, dia juga dimaklumkan oleh guru Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Mahawangsa bahawa anaknya tidak ke sekolah pada hari berkenaan.

Menurut Zainab, pada malam sebelum kejadian, dia dan anaknya ada berselisih faham selepas dia menegur anaknya terlalu leka menonton televisyen.

“Makcik bimbang kerana dia akan menduduki peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) beberapa minggu lagi.

"Oleh itu mak cik merayu kepadanya supaya pulanglah dan jika makcik ada terkasar bahasa maafkanlah,” katanya.
