ALOR GAJAH, 27 JUNE, 2011: A local teenager emerged as winner of the Iridescent Artwork competition to produce a logo for the sixth edition of the Hollywood blockbuster, Transformers. 

Wan Muhammad Hazzim Wan Muhammad Zulkifli, 17, from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Datuk Dol Said beat contestants from around the world with his design which was inspired by his interest in the Transformers series.

"I never expected this as it's my first win, and at an international level at that, for a logo in conjunction with Linkin Park's concert tour in Moscow which started last Friday," he told reporters at his home in Taman Saujana Heights, here this evening.

The teenager, who aspires to become an animation designer one day, said the logo which took him half a day to produce would be used as the background for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack album and concert tour by the international band.

The prize he has won, however, is unknown as the organizers have yet to contact him on that matter.

The Transformers film directed by Michael Bay is scheduled to hit the cinemas soon.
