SEREMBAN: Two 11-year-old Iban girls were found drowned after they slipped into a retention pond while playing in the area at Kem Syed Sirajuddin, Gemas, Tampin near here yesterday.

The two girls, Rachellyna Evenis d/o Elvis and Clarise Haizer Endyfim, and another friend, were said to have stopped to play near the pond at 5.30pm while on their way home from additional classes at their schools.

Tampin district police chief Supt Wooi Kooi Cheang said they were playing near the pond when two of them slipped and disappeared into the water.
