Local production house, Enfinity has selected six new talents that will grace the stage of Istana Budaya February 8 as players of Harimau Malaya and Drill Sarjan Ahmad in the highly anticipated OlaBola The Musical.

However, fans of the movie ‘OlaBola’ can rejoice as Muhd Luqman Hafidz and Lim Jian Wen will reprise their roles as Ahmad Ali and Ong Tiam Cai in the theatre adaptation of the movie as they look to dazzle audiences with their theatrical talent.

The production which will be directed by notable producer Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, will also see Brian Chan as Chow Kwok Keong, also known as Tauke; Abimanyu Masilamani as Muthu Kumar; and Chris Chalmers, better known as Kai Chalmers, as Eric Yong.

Prior to OlaBola The Musical, Brian Chan had previously lent his talent to theatre performances such as ‘Rent,’ ‘Uda and Dara 2015’ and ‘Thunderstom,’ while Masilamani has performed in ‘Sand The Musical’ and had bagged the Best Lead Role Performance Award at the 13th edition of the Boh Cameronian Arts Awards last year.

Meanwhile, Chalmers – who graduated from the Arts Educational Schools, London and wears many hats as a singer, songwriter and actor – has played multiple lead roles in musical theatre, including ‘Meng’ from the much celebrated Enfinity production entitled, ‘MUD: The Story of Kuala Lumpur.’

Additionally, local rapper Altimet was also blessed with the opportunity to be enlisted as the composer of OlaBola The Musical and is set to make his theatre debut as Drill Sarjan Ahmad.

The six actors are amongst the 40 that were selected following an intensive screening participated by more than 300 talents, who showed up for the OlaBola The Musical audition held last August.

As a matter of fact, the actors are scheduled for a live performance as they are set to perform the musical’s single “Luarbiasa” at the Akademi Fantasia Megastar this Sunday on 8th October 2017 at 10.00pm – which will be broadcast on Astro Ria channel 104, and Astro Ria HD channel 123.

“Luarbiasa” will also stream exclusively on Astro ERA FM "Super 40 ERA FM" radio station on Monday, October 9th before it is broadcasted on all national radio channels from October 10th(Tuesday).

With the six actors revealed, Enfiniti is expected to announce the main cast soon and tickets to the anticipated musical will be on sale this mid-October.
