Dream Comes True For Singer Ayied

KUALA LUMPUR --  Ayied Saharin, 25, a participant in the second season of the reality show Gang Starz in 2008 finally produced his first debut single 'Serindu',  written by composer Rosli Selasih.

Born in an artistic family, with his mother Laila Saharin a finalist of the fifth season of the reality show 'Kilauan Emas',  Ayied took nearly 10 years before he joined Kayangan Event Sdn Bhd, a recording company owned by Rosli, and produced the single.

The singer who came from Pasir Gudang, Johor and grew up in Banting, Selangor, has never given up hope on improving his singing talent and practised through performances with his band, Rancaxx, at wedding receptions and dinner events in Banting.

Ayied, who began singing at the young age of 16, doesn't mind being considered as a busker as he had gained much of his singing experience before becoming a recording artiste when busking.

“Being a busker is a halal job. I am not stealing. What is important is my intention to share god's gift with others,” he said when invited as a guest on Bernama News Channel 'Nine 11' today.

“When I was busking, I was introduced to Rosli who took me in as his recording artiste and produced my debut single entitled 'Serindu', playing rock ballad genre,” said Ayied who has been with Rosli's recording label for more than a year.

The song 'Serindu',  is the story of a youth who falls in love with a Sabahan woman who is good at playing the flute, but ends up heartbroken when he gets to know that she has someone else.
