[VIDEO] Police Urged To Investigate Man In Video With ‘Allah’ Leg Tattoo

KUALA LUMPUR: The Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM) yesterday lodged a police report in relation to a viral video that allegedly insulted Islam.

The video shared by My News Viral depicted a man with the Arabic inscription of the word ‘Allah’ tattooed on his right calf.

MJMM President Abdul Rani Kulup has urged the authorities to investigate the relevant individual.

“PDRM and MCMC should look into, arrest and take firm action against the perpetrator,” Rani underlined as reported by Sinar Harian.

“It involves the word ‘Allah’ – tattooed on his right calf as if he was inciting religious provocations.”

The Malay daily also reported that the president was accompanied by Ikatan Rakyat Insan Muslim Malaysia (Irim), when lodging the police report.

Meanwhile on social media, the video has generated immense backlash as many called for the individual to be identified:

“He should be killed,” Ahmad Khairuddin wrote.

“This man has no manners and intentionally disrespecting Islam,” Nurul Shafika commented.

“Disgusting. The nerve this man has,” Rizal Yunus wrote.

However, one netizen has urged other netizens to not be so quick to condemn and pass judgement without first listening to the other side of the story.

“We should not always be too quick to judge,” Raja Firash advised.

“He may not be a Muslim, but perhaps he doesn’t understand the significance of the word ‘Allah’ as the tattoo parlour should have advised the customer prior carrying on with his job.

“Perhaps the man saw the word beautiful and decided to have it as a tattoo.”
