Fadzli Fareast's Title 'Syahadah' Emerges Winner Of AN17

SHAH ALAM -- The 'nasyid' (a work of vocal music, often about divinity and humanity) 'Syahadah', sung by Fadzli Fareast emerged the winner of the 2017 Nasyid Awards (AN17) held at the Malawati Stadium here, last night.

Fadzli's powerful performance in front of some 5,000 spectators also earned him the Best Vocal and Best Performance category awards in the glorious event.

As champion, Fadzli took home a trophy, cash prize of RM10,000, a gold bar worth RM15,000 and a certificate of appreciation, presented by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

Singer Lah Ahmad took home second prize for the nasyid 'Salam', while defending champion Daqmie, with his title 'Jalan Syahadah', finished third.

AN17 is a nasyid competition organised by the Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) in collaboration with Al-Hijrah TV, and aims to recognise artistes and individuals who preach through the medium.
