For the past two days, you might have noticed that Selangor is currently undergoing a water 'crisis. Perhaps, you are one of the unlucky ones affected by the crisis.

The water disruption which is due to emergency repair works on the Sungai Selangor Phase 3 Water Treatment Plant has thrown the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents in the affected areas into disarray.

And no one, not even the Malaysia's own Minister of Defence is spared from the crisis.

In a statement made during a press conference at the Parliament building today, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, the Defence Minister of Malaysia lamented that even his own house is affected by the water crisis, thanks to unfulfilled promises from the Selangor government.

"They promised free water in Selangor but this has gone unfulfilled, even my own house in Taman TAR has no water. So I am one of the victims of their false promises," he points out the irony.

In the press conference, he also reminded the people not to fall for Pakatan's manifesto which amount to empty promises and put their faith in the Barisan Nasional government which has always fulfilled their pledge.

The water disruption that is crippling most parts in Selangor right now is expected to last until this Sunday, 11 March 2018.
