Mother Of Arsenal Star Left Homeless, Despite Her Son Earning RM167K A Week

While this Arsenal midfielder resides in his comfortable £700,000 (RM3.8mil) apartment, his mother is virtually homeless, as she temporarily squats in a 10-foot square metal storage box that she calls home for now.

According to Daily Mail, Jule Niles relayed that her son, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, refused to be her guarantor – that would enable her to rent a flat – after the pair had a falling out.

To add more salt into the wound, the 38-year-old lamented that she has to sneak past the employees at Big Yellow Storage warehouse each night to seek shelter in the freezing container.

“'I wait until everyone has gone home and slip into the unit when it is dark. It is heartbreaking,” and professed that she fears the day that her secret is discovered by the staff there.

“The area is covered in snow and it's not been above freezing for days. I heard a homeless man died here overnight on Thursday.”

The mother also recounted that she spent Christmas on her own – freezing in the storage box – before she made her way to a nearby homeless centre for lunch.

But most of her days are spent in emptiness when she revealed that she seeks warmth at coffee shops or the local library, and pays £2 (RM10) to shower at a local swimming pool.

“It’s a metal container with no windows or carpet. There is no toilet or washing facilities,” the devastated mother relayed.

“My son Ainsley could buy me a flat with two weeks or two month's wages. But the money's gone to his head and I'm in this position.”

Jule then revealed that her 20-year-old son is worth £15mil (RM81mil), and plays for the English Premier League (EPL) team Arsenal – yet leaves her to call a storage unit as shelter.

“It's not a home. I know what home feels like - to be able to shower, brush your teeth and sit in your room.

“All that I miss - but most of all I miss my family. It's horrible. I just want to know what I've done wrong,” she pleaded.

Daily Mail reported that Ainsley signed with the Arsenal academy when he was just six years old, after Arsenal scouts discovered the young lad.

And at the age of 17 years old, the English footballer made his debut in the Champions League against Galatasaray, back in December 2014.

Following his debut, Ainsley than made his Premier League debut where Arsenal triumphed over Newcastle United in a 4-1 victory.

“I want to thank my family and God mostly for putting me here,” Ainsley has reportedly said following his debut, and shared with reporters what he intends to do with the shirt he wore for the fateful match.

“I think I'll frame it and give it to my mum.”

Today, Ainsley have played nine leagues and eight European games for Arsenal in the current season, and has made 21 appearances in this season thus far. Although he had progress tremendously in his career, his relationship with his mother has deteriorated.

It is reported that back in March 2015, Jule and Arsenal’s chief negotiator, Dick Law, got into a heated argument during a meeting over Ainsley’s future.

Following the allegations, Jule was then accused of having it out with Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy, during Ainsleys’ spell at the club.

“There are times when I have sat on my own and cried." she recalled.

"It wouldn’t matter if Ainsley lost all the money tomorrow. He and Cordi are my sons and I love them. I just want them to know that.”

Meanwhile, The Sun reported that Ainsley is unaware that of his mother’s current situation, and conveyed that he continues giving his mother financial support.

Be that as it may, both Arsenal and Ainsley have declined to comment on the matter.
