Chaos Erupts In Dewan Rakyat After DAP MP Tells Second Finance Minister That His Answer On 1MDB Is 'Stupid'

The heated exchange started when DAP Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo (DAP-Puchong) posed the question to second finance minister Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani.
When Johari replied that he can speak to Gobind after the Parliament session outside, the answer angered the DAP legal bureau chief who went on the offensive.
"You want to tell me the answer outside the House, that means you have an answer," Gobind pressed on.
The now exasperated Johari likened Gobind's persistent questioning to a schoolboy asking the same question repeatedly.
"You (Gobind) can check the details yourself. What do you hope to get in my answer. You expect me to alter what are already the stated facts here in Dewan Rakyat?"
Johari's response that nothing he says will change the official findings reported by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, police, and the Attorney-General’s Chambers regarding the probes into 1MDB did not satisfy Gobind who proceeded to hurling baseless accusations, asking pointedly, "Is Najib a suspect?"
“Investigating is the job of investigating agencies. This is a stupid question,” Johari gave his reply, BNBBC news portal reports.
Johari's answer caused a stir in Parliament with Gobind resorting to name-calling Johari a “stupid minister” instead.
This heated exchange went on for several minutes, with Housing, Local Government and Urban Wellbeing Minister Noh Omar joining in to call Gobind “stupid” as well.
Deputy Speaker Ronald Kiandee had to intervene twice to remind those in the Dewan Rakyat not to use such language.
