Turkey Detains 14 Daesh Suspects Ahead Of Elections

ANKARA -- Turkish authorities on Friday detained 14 suspected Daesh members who were preparing an attack ahead of Sunday's elections, Xinhua news agency reported, citing state-run Anadolu news agency.

The 14 suspects, all foreign nationals, were detained in simultaneous morning raids on their homes in Ankara. They were taken to the Directorate of Security for the recording of testimony.

No further details were given on the timing of the planned attack and its location.

Turkish citizens will go to the polls on Sunday to elect the president and members of parliament.
