PETALING JAYA -- Koperasi Hartanah Malaysia Berhad (Kohama) executive chairman, Datuk Jali Sekak and part-time lecturer Datuk Dr Mohd Nasirudin Othman claimed trial at four Sessions Courts here today, to six counts of cheating in connection with the non-existent 1Malaysia Affordable Housing Project involving a loss of RM5.36 million, three years ago.

633,000 Ha Of Oil Palm Plantation MSPO Certified, Says Mah

PUTRAJAYA -- About 633,232 hectares (ha) of oil palm plantation and 59 mills have voluntarily obtained the Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification as of January 2018, said Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong.

Weekly Petrol, Diesel Prices Drop Further

KUALA LUMPUR -- The weekly retail price for RON95 petrol dropped six sen to RM2.17 per litre while the price for RON97 petrol dropped seven sen to RM2.43 per litre beginning midnight tonight until Feb 28.

PUTRAJAYA -- Empat bekas pengarah syarikat pelaburan jongkong emas, Genneva Sdn Bhd (GSB), hari ini dihukum penjara lapan tahun dan denda RM1 juta setiap seorang oleh Mahkamah Rayuan selepas didapati bersalah atas 154 pertuduhan pengubahan wang haram dan empat pertuduhan menerima deposit tanpa lesen melibatkan urus niaga bernilai lebih RM200 juta.

EC Wins Appeal To Set Aside Leave For Judicial Review Granted To 28 Segamat Voters

 

PUTRAJAYA -- The Court of Appeal today overturned a High Court’s decision which granted leave to 48 Segamat Parliamentary voters to commence their judicial review challenge on the inclusion of the names of 949 army personnel and their spouses as voters in the constituency.
