KOTA KINABALU, 11 JULY, 2011: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman wants all employers in Sabah to improve further the level of safety and health at their respective workplace.
He said this was crucial to create a conducive workplace which enabled the workers to carry out their work comfortably, safely and in a healthy environment.
In addition, Musa said this would also ensure that members of the public residing around such areas could live in a safe and peaceful condition.
"The importance of safety and health aspects cannot be disputed any longer in carrying out any work activity by the employers especially in Sabah," he said in his speech at the launching of the national level occupational safety and health week 2011 at Menara Tun Mustapha, near here today.
The text of his speech was read by the Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai.
Musa said the efforts to churn out highly productive human capital was not a cheap or simple process.

7 Killed, 30 Injured in Stampede in Republic of Congo's Music Festival
BRAZZAVILLE, 11 JULY, 2011: Seven people died and 30 others were injured in a weekend stampede during the opening ceremony of a music festival held in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, according to the latest information released by the government on Sunday.
The tragedy happened on Saturday night at the ceremony to open the 8th edition of the PanAfrican Music Festival (Fespam), China's Xinhua news agency reported, citing local press reports.
Congolese Culture and Arts Minister Jean Claude Gakosso said a task force is set up to determine the cause of the incident, and another inquiry commission had been set up to prepare for the burial of the dead.
Following this tragedy at the Felix Eboue stadium, he announced that the Congolese government decided to stop the Fespam 2011.
