Air Hitam assemblyman Abdul Ghani Ahmad of PAS and Sidam assemblyman Tan Chow Kang of PKR replaced Pantai Merdeka assemblyman Abdullah Jusoh of PAS and Bakar Arang assemblyman Tan Wei Shu of PKR, respectively, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak.

The eight other executive councillors were retained in the minor reshuffle. They are Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi, Datuk Muhamed Taulan Mat Rasul, Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah, Dr Hamdan Mohamed Khalib, Siti Aishah Ghazali, Dr Ismail Salleh, Manikumar Subramaniam and Lim Soo Nee.

Azizan said Abdul Ghani would hold the Information and Entrepreneur Development portfolio and Tan, the Environment, Chinese Community Affairs and Transport portfolio.

All the executive councillors took their oath of office before the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, at Istana Anak Bukit, here.

"The executive councillors would be given three months to submit their agenda (of action) and I will personally monitor their performance until next year (when the executive council is due for reappointment)," said Azizan.
