JOHOR BAHARU: The police have sought two men and a woman to facilitate investigations into molotov cocktail bomb attacks at the homes of two customs department officers in Taman Pelangi and Taman Sri Pulai Perdana here on Sept 12.

They are Yip Soon Kent alias 'Pendek Kent', 25; Chuah Seong Khoon alias Danny, 40; and Lee Sew Kian alias Carran, 37.

Johor CID chief Datuk Dr Hashim Haron said today, Yip's last known address was No: 6, Jalan Harmonium 16, Taman Desa Tebrau here while Chuah had last stayed No: 37, Jalan Belibis 7, Taman Perling here.

He said Lee had previously stayed at No: 5, Jalan Bukit Kempas 1/17, Taman Bukit Kempas, here.

In the incidents about 4am on Sept 12, molotov cocktails were hurled into the porches of two houses occupied by customs officers at the two housing estates.

The Taman Pelangi incident claimed the life of Johor customs deputy director (compliance unit) Ahmad Hassan, 54, who suffered a fatal heart attack after preventing his car from catching fire when the house of his immediate neighbour, also a customs officer, caught fire after they came under molotov cocktail attacks.

On Sept 13, the police detained a 38-year-old man in connection with the attacks. He was released on police bail.
