Filepic of candidates sitting for the PMR examination. Pix: nesloais.comKUALA LUMPUR: A total of 481,424 candidates will sit for the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination today until October 16 at 3,560 examination centers nationwide.
A statement from the Malaysian Examinations Board yesterday said it involves 448,436 candidates from government schools, government aided schools and government aided religious schools.
Some 5,846 candidates are from schools under government agencies such as Mara Junior Science Colleges (MRSM).
Another 10,051 candidates are from state secondary religious schools, 13,728 from private schools, 1,151 private candidates and 2,212 candidates from secondary people's religious schools.
