KUALA LUMPUR: A 19-year-old girl decided to lodge a false police report against her father, alleging that he had raped her, after she was not allowed to see her boyfriend.

City CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the report was lodged on Oct 4 by the girl in Brickfields, claiming that the father had raped her inside of her room in the morning.

"The parents have recently separated. The father is staying in Brickfields while the mother is staying with her sibling in Klang.

"The girl had been staying with the mother before this but since the father is not in favour of her going out whenever she likes with her boyfriend, he had ordered her to stay with him.

"Seeing that it is hard to go out to see her lover, she decided to lodge a report claiming that her father had raped her. Investigations revealed that the report is false," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 182 of the Penal Code for giving false information.
