Shah Alam mayor Datuk Mohd Jaafar Mohd Atan said today the owner had failed to apply for approval of the renovation plan in accordance with Section 70(1) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974. SHAH ALAM: The owner of the bungalow where a concrete roofing collapsed yesterday, killing a construction worker, risks prosecution for renovating the house without approval from the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).
"We will bring the case to court because there has been a death. Under the provision, the offender can be fined up to RM250,000 upon conviction.
