KLANG: A five year-old Cambodian boy was found dead wrapped in a piece of cloth under a tree in Jalan Bawal off Jalan Sungai Udang here yesterday.

South Klang police chief ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop said the body of Sy Rasikin Sy Ismail with bruises on the face and neck was found by his father, Set El It, 35, about 30 meters from their house at 11:57pm.

"Upon the discovery, the victim was brought to a clinic in Teluk Pulai town here but was confirmed dead.

"The victim's mother said the last time she saw her son was at about 6pm before he went out to play near their house," he said in an SMS to Bernama.

Mohamad said following the incident, police detained two Cambodian men aged 19 and 21 years working as tailors.

He said one of suspects admitted to slapping the victim for teasing him.

The two suspects later wrapped the victim in a piece of cloth before disposing the victim under a tree, he said.

"The suspects have been brought to the hospital for DNA and toxicology examinations," he said.

Mohamad said a post-mortem on the boy showed he died of suffocation.

The case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
