Speaking at the Aidiladha celebration at Daruss'adah Mosque in Kampung Tabuan Hilir here, today, he said some of these foreign influence were of no benefit to the people as they only intended to destroy the peace and harmony in the country.

He added that the people should also be grateful to the leaders for their sacrifices in ensuring peace and harmony in the country.

"With the uncertainties faced by the world today, we should in fact be thankful as we are still able to live in peace and celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha in harmony, unlike in some countries in the Middle East," he said.

Wan Junaidi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Santubong, said the rakyat could also judge for themselves the political turmoil in that region
following foreign power intervention.

At the event, he presented robes to imams and bilals in Kampung Tabuan Melayu as well as distributed qurbani meat to the locals.
