SHAH ALAM: Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) will start an Internet radio channel called Radio BN Selangor which can be accessed via the website, www.selangorbn.fm.
Selangor BN coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed said the Internet radio channel would begin its round-the-clock operations on Nov 17 and could be accessed through the computer or smartphone.
"For smartphone users, the radio application can be downloaded via Tune In to listen in," he told reporters at the pre-launch of Radio BN Selangor by state Umno liaison deputy chief, Datuk Seri Noh Omar, here, Wednesday.
He said the radio channel would provide an alternative for the people of Selangor to give their views or to forward their complaints and problems, as well as to obtain the latest information on programmes organised by Selangor BN.
He said there would be slots such as "Aduan Rakyat" and "Bersama Pemimpin" for replies to be given directly to the complaints and questions raised.
Mohd Zin said the radio channel would also be an avenue for BN to explain arising issues in Selangor.
He said the "Resepi Selebriti" programme would have invited politicians, elected representatives and artistes sharing their special recipes while the "Bakat Selangor" segment would provide an opportunity for the public to show their talents.
Meanwhile, Mohd Zin said the BN People's Service Centre (Pakar) had received reports on the drastic increase in the price of houses in Selangor.
He said Selangor BN would look into this matter which it viewed seriously, and that the problem was actually due to the state government's inability to effectively control and manage the housing issue in the state.
"I can assure the people that if BN wins back Selangor, the issue of affordable houses will be given special attention, and this will be included in BN's election manifesto," he said.
