Anwar: No Dispute Among PR Members PDF Print

Kuala Lumpur, Thu 17th Dec -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Advisor Datuk
Seri Anwar Ibrahim today denied there was a misunderstanding among Pakatan
Rakyat members over local council election issues.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim

Denying allegations that PAS and DAP disagreed on the issues, he said that
in a three-hour meeting today, they discussed both the finer points of the
upcoming Pakatan Rakyat convention to be held in Shah Alam on Sunday, and the
issues.

"It is not true (that the parties have a misunderstanding). I don’t know how
this was leaked to say that there was a strong difference of opinion among us.

"For example today, we focused on the preamble and that issue of local
council (election) was in the last meeting," Anwar told reporters at the
Parliament lobby here today after chairing the Pakatan Rakyat technical
committee meeting.

"But you know the position of each party, like for Islam, of course, PAS
will be stronger, while on Chinese education, the DAP will be stronger.

"So, we will find a formula so that it will become a very clear policy," he
said.
