KUALA LUMPUR, 26 JANUARY, 2012: An electronic game ‘Aku Jimat’ inspired by the prime minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor have been removed from Apple’s iTunes App Store.
The game, rated the second most popular among Malaysian paid applications, is no longer available for download after nine days of its existence.
On Saturday, the purportedly educational game developed by the Antarctic Group and priced at US$0.99 per download, was given a five-star rating by users.
According to reports, only the and Antarctic Group have the authority to remove the application.
It is believed that the game was launched a couple of months ago though it is not known when the game application was removed.
The game, which features a cartoon character resembling Rosmah, is only product developed by the Antarctic Group and made available at the Apple App Store for users of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
In describing the game, the developer said, it was “to educate the kids the important (sic) of saving since childhood. The younger you achieve your saving (sic) goal, the better!”
Players have to catch falling coins and gold bars by moving a piggy bank across the screen and using the collected money to shop for an array of handbags, a house, a car or a diamond ring worth US$24 million (RM74 million).
