KUALA LUMPUR, 4 FEBRUARY 2012: An information technology company personal assistant was found dead in her car at the parking lot of a business centre in Seri Kembangan last night.

The 39-year-old woman had sustained stab wounds and strangulation marks when her husband found the body in the front seat of the Honda City about 10.30pm.

He told police he went looking for his wife when she failed to return to their home in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong after work.

The car was found about 200 metres from the woman's workplace.

The police found a six-inch knife and a piece of wire measuring about 30cm believed to have been used in the killing in the vehicle.

They have declined to identify the victim whose body was sent to the Serdang
Hospital.

Serdang police chief Superintendant Abd Razak Elias told Bernama today that the victim's husband had contacted her employer before setting out to look for her.

He said initial investigations revealed the involvement of more than one assailant, adding that the police did not dismiss the possibility the murder was committed during a heavy downpour so as not to attract public attention.
