TEMERLOH, 23 JANUARY, 2012: The Pahang Barisan Nasional (BN) is confident it can win all the seats held by the opposition in the state, at the 13th General Election, said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob.
Speaking at a gathering of 3,000 BN Wanita members last night, he said the confidence stemmed from the current political winds of change but admitted it may be a little challenging.
"The Kuantan parliamentary seat may be a challenge due to the Lynas issue but Indera Mahkota is not a problem," he said.
"Semantan and Beserah assembly seats are also not a problem, we can even get back Triang and Tras if we work hard together, we can get them all back," he emphasized.
He advised that past mistakes should be a lesson and this time they must work hard and overcome all weaknesses.
He called on the BN Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings to constantly get closer to the people at the grass roots level and solve their problems.
"We shouldn't question who the candidate or component party is, the important thing is to win and deliver all our promises to the people," said Adnan.
On that related note, he reminded members to set aside trivial matters which could jeopardize the party.
