PASIR PUTEH, 4 FEBRUARY, 2012: Kelantan Umno will seek the views of Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah towards ensuring the Barisan Nasional (BN) returns to power in Kelantan after the next general election (GE), said Kelantan Umno chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.

Mustapa, who is also International Trade and Industry Minister, said the Umno veteran was very influential in the nation's politics and in Kelantan and this was why his inputs were needed to recapture the state from PAS.

"We will ask for Ku Li's (Tengku Razaleigh's ) advice on how Kelantan Umno can step up its efforts for the task," he told reporters after closing an entrepreneurship workshop in Tok Bali here today.

He added that Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's visit to the state two days ago had fired up Umno members to redouble their efforts to retake Kelantan in the next GE.

The BN lost Kelantan to PAS in 1990.
