KUALA LUMPUR, 7 FE BRUARY, 2012: The police have yet to confirm the arrest of a man likely to be the ex-lover of a Selangor executive councillor, who was arrested in Batam, Indonesia on Friday, said Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah.

He said the man was wanted by the police for allegedly releasing the semi-nude pictures of Selangor PKR executive councillor Elizabeth Wong in 2009 but had since gone missing.

If the report is true, the police will deal with the Indonesian police on the matter, said Ku in a text message today.

The Batam immigration claimed that investigations indicated that the man allegedly came from an address similar to that of Wong's ex-boyfriend.

Wong was embroiled in a scandal over her leaked semi-naked photos more than three years ago which she claimed were taken without her consent.

The Free Malaysia Today online portal reported that the Indonesian authorities had arrested a 37-year-old man allegedly linked to Parti Keadilan Rakyat for immigration offences on Friday.
