KOTA KINABALU, 7 FEBRUARY, 2012: The body of a woman who went missing when a boat capsized in waters between Kampung Tampakan and Kampung Limau-Limauan, Kudat two days ago, was found about 6.15am today by villagers also involved in the search and rescue operation.

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, here, in a statement said the victim, identified as Asalin Kulijah, in her 50's, was in the boat with five others to catch fish when the boat capsized in the 7am incident last Sunday.

Asalin went missing but the others managed to save themselves.

A search and rescue operation was mounted the same day by six MMEA personnel who were assisted by a scuba team from the district Fire and Rescue station.

Th victim's body was brought to the Kudat jetty and handed over to the police for further action.
