IPOH: A homeless man took his own life by jumping off the seventh floor of the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun early this morning.
The man's name, age and home address are not available since he did not carry any identification document on him even when he was admitted to the hospital.
The deceased is believed to be in his 50s and had been admitted to and discharged from the hospital repeatedly in the past.
Hospital sources claim that the man had been showing suicidal tendencies and had often expressed his intention to jump off the the seventh floor ward in which he was admitted.
A male witness said he saw the deceased walking back and forth in his ward as though he was looking for something or someone before leaving the ward area.
The man was later found sprawled on the ground with his head smashed due to the impact of the fall around 7.30am.
