JPJ Announce Driving License Ceiling Price

-filepic -filepicKUALA LUMPUR: Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) has announced the maximum rates for the new driving license fees through the JPJ Facebook page (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia).

According to the statement by JPJ on September 15, the ceiling price should be followed by all driving schools and institutions in Malaysia which are required to comply with the new terms and conditions.

Through the same statement, JPJ mentioned that people can make complaints directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. JPJ added that the ceiling price means that the driving institutions and schools cannot impose a higher price than stated. However, there are driving schools who have published rates which are lower than the rates set by JPJ.

The release of the ceiling prices predate the implementation of the new Drivers’ Education Curriculum (KPP) syllabus, which has been postponed from August 1. The new curriculum is said to focus on producing courteous and disciplined drivers, rather than the current curriculum’s focus on the dexterity and traffic rule comprehension of drivers.
