“So far, we have recorded statements from several witnesses and the three suspects, including State Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh,” he said, when contacted.

Yesterday, the magistrate's court granted a five-day remand order against Phee and a father and son duo to facilitate a probe into an illegal carbon filter factory in Sungai Lembu, Bukit Mertajam.

Phee and the duo were arrested on Friday following a raids at Phee’s office and the illegal factory.

MACC had seized several documents from both raids.

Phee’s lawyers are currently in the midst of obtaining a revision on the five-day remand order from a Alor Star High Court.
