CEP To Look Into Projects With Payments Pending

Pic: NSTPic: NSTKUALA LUMPUR: The Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) have given an assurance to look into government procurement projects with payments still pending, said Sarojini Ruth Rajahser, President, National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM).

“We came here to tell them what NAWEM was all about, projects that we have done in the past 25 years and the issues faced by the association’s entrepreneurs.

“One of it was the payment for government projects undertaken.

“The CEP was very helpful and they asked us to write a letter to them on the matter as according to them everything should be paid,” said Sarojini after attending a meeting with the council here today.

Funding for small and medium enterprises were among the issues raised at the meeting which also touched on projects undertaken by the association and issues in the domestic scene.

NAWEM was established in 1993 and had 700 members to date.

Its members are involved in businesses which span across manufacturing, information technology, financial services, education, aerospace, trading, food and beverage and others.
