| Cheaper and Lighter Laptops on Bargain |
|

|
Just like handphone, laptops or its smaller cousin, the netbook, is a must-have items for most people I know. What used to weigh several kilograms and cost several months of wages is now lighter and more affordable. It is no surprise that personal computers (PCs) may one day disappeared from the market as the popularity of laptop grows. If you are thinking of getting one this Christmas, shop around for bargain. There is always something to fit your lifestyle and budget. But remember, the cheaper the laptop the lower the memory or RAM. Personally I like laptop more than netbook. The latter is just too small for me. These are some of the laptop models that are currently in my wish list. My favourite is Sony VAIO GRT CTO.
Dell Inspiron 1100: It provides practical features at affordable price and integrated Intel Extreme graphics. It comes in Moonlight Silver and Venice Blue case. It is slightly heavier than an average laptop but still light enough not to be carried around. I like the 35.8 cm screen.
Toshiba Satellite A15: Toshiba Satellite A15 is perfect match for basic computing which is an ideal for students, first time purchasers and light business users on budget. Its memory capacity expandable to 1GB and it weighs a little over 2.7 kg. The A10 is light enough to be taken anywhere, but has enough power to make your work easier. It comes in blue-grey and looks above average for a laptop.
Lenovo ThinkPad R40e Series: ThinkPad R40e Series notebook are considered mid-priced among Lenovo (formerly IBM), but they offer the best blend of portability with essential features. These affordable notebooks are for the extreme mobile users who want easy and ready-to-run computing. It has state-of-the-art technology which stretches the battery life and expands its configuration options to include Intel’s Centrino triad. And has a plain black finish. Overall, it is a solid choice for the business traveler.
Sony VAIO GRT CTO: This is the one of the cheapest in Sony range and has features thAT i like. It comes complete with a stylish new silver body design and a large display which makes it more eye-catching. The 256 MB of memory makes it an even more attractive one to buy and is the best value among Sony.
LAPTOPS FOR AROUND RM2,000.
