Pix: malaysiancubprix.comSEPANG: Malaysia's Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah (pic), riding on a wildcard ticket, finished a sensational fourth place in Moto2 at the Malaysian Grand Prix today.
Hafizh's feat, incidentally, was just after compatriot Zulfahmi Khairuddin created history by finishing second in Moto3 for Malaysia's first ever podium.
The 18-year-old Hafizh, with Team Petronas Raceline Malaysia, started 27th on the grid.
Meanwhile, Republic of San Marino's Alex De Angelis of NGM finished first and won the GP2 title after clocking 36 minutes 57.793 seconds.
In second position was Australian Anthony West of QMMF Racing Team with a time of 36:58.503s while Britain's Gino Rea of Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 came in third with a time of 36:59.156s.
