KUALA LUMPUR, 3 MARCH, 2012: Hsieh Su Wei of Taiwan secured a berth in the final of the BMW Malaysian Open tennis championship held at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort here today.

The 26-year-old crushed Eleni Daniilidou of Greece 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 in a match which stretched nearly five hours, during which it had to be suspended twice due to the rain.

"I'm happy to pass the qualifier then to keep on winning to final. This is my first final so I'm very excited," she said after the match.

Hsieh, who turned professional in 2001, had eight WTA doubles titles under her belt but had yet to win a singles title.

She will face the winner of the match between Petra Martic of Croatia and second seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia scheduled later tonight.

Joining Hsieh in finals are compatriots Chang Kai Chen and Chuang Chia Jung who ousted the Australian pair, Casey Dellacqua and Jarmila Gajdosova, 6-4, 6-0 in the semifinals.

The Taiwanese pair will take on the winner of the match between scratch pair Chan Hao Ching of Taiwan and Rika Fujiwara of Japan against Karolina and Kristyna Pliskova of Czechoslovakia.
