Suarez, Cavani Trouble For Team GB

MONTEVIDEO: Uruguay will rely on Luis Suarez and Ednson Cavani to lead the line for their London Olympics campaign where they will be up against Team Great Britain in Group A.


The others in this group are  Senegal and United Arab Emirates.

Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez's squad for London will be officially announced on Monday, but the 18-man list to be presented is already known after Saturday's warm-up friendly against local side Central Espanol.

Suarez is joined by Liverpool teammate in defender Sebastian Coates, while Palermo midfielder Edigio Arevalo Rios is the third over-age player representing La Celeste along with the two high-profile strikers.

The rest of the team are mainly made up of the most promising talents from Uruguay's domestic Primera Division, although there is also room for playmaker Nicolas Ledeiro, who recently left Ajax for Botafogo, as well as in-demand Bologna star Gaston Ramirez.

The Copa America champions have recently moved up to third in the Fifa world rankings, and will be among the favourites to collect their third Olympic gold medal at the London Games.
