Alexis Sanchez Confident Arsenal Will Sanction Manchester City Transfer

Alexis Sanchez is confident Arsenal will budge and eventually sanction his move to Premier League rivals Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.

Sanchez conceded over the weekend that his future may lie elsewhere following Arsenal’s failure to secure Champions League football.

‘I want to play the Champions League,’ the Chilean superstar told Radio Sport Chile when quizzed over his future.

‘The decision does not depend on me, I have to wait for Arsenal. I’ve made my decision, now I wait for Arsenal’s reply.

‘The idea is to play and win the Champions League. I’ve dreamt about it since I was a kid.’

Despite the admission, Arsenal’s stance remains that he will not be sold, especially not to a direct rival in City or Chelsea.

Reports even claim Arsene Wenger believes the 28-year-old will snub a summer move due to life in London and the offer of a substantial pay-rise at the Emirates.

Sanchez will be out of contract at the end of next season but the Gunners are said to be prepared to lose him for nothing next year rather than agree a deal with City this summer.

However, the Mail say Sanchez’s representatives are working hard to secure a move to City, where he will be reunited with former manager Pep Guardiola.

And it is claimed Sanchez’s camp believe Arsenal will eventually succumb to his demands and sell him before the end of the current transfer window.
