Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis Is Wanted By AC Milan

ARSENAL chief executive Ivan Gazidis is wanted by AC Milan, according to reports.

The Gunners supremo is being lined up to take over the Serie A giants after a top-level change.

Milan are now in the hands of US hedge fund Elliott Management Corporation after former owner Yonghong Li defaulted on his debts.

Now Sky Sport Italia via Tribal Football say Gazidis, 53, is under strong consideration as they plan a shake-up in the boardroom.

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali is also said to be under consideration.

Milan have lost £66million in the past year and need financial stability.

Gazidis has provided that at Arsenal, refusing to spend over the top in the transfer window and tying big stars such as Mesut Ozil down to new deals.

What's more, Elliott Management founder Paul Singer is said to have a son who is a big Arsenal fan.

And he knows Gazidis personally from visits to watch the Gunners play.

Oxford graduate Gazidis accepted the post of Arsenal chief executive in November 2008.

In that time he has also overseen big personnel changes at the club, including the departure of Arsene Wenger and arrival of Unai Emery.
