LONDON: Manchester United's bid to sign Brazil superstar Lucas Moura (pic) is in danger of being hijacked by Paris Saint Germain, reported The Sun.
The moneybags French outfit have joined the race to land Sao Paolo’s £30million-rated starlet.
And they have the financial clout to trump United’s offer to the 19-year-old midfielder, who is set to run out at Old Trafford tonight in Brazil’s Olympics semi against South Korea.
But his agent Wagner Ribeiro insists there is no deal yet in place.
“First they said Lucas was at Manchester United, now they say he belongs to PSG," he said. “Everyone is trying to build their story like a jigsaw puzzle.”
Manager Alex Ferguson missed United’s 0-0 draw with Valerenga at the weekend to work on deals for Moura and Robin van Persie.
