.HOLA!
Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo have been scoring goals like there is no tomorrow in Primera Liga. These two are a class above compared to the other goal poachers.
So would anyone be brave enough to challenge these two's scoring prowess?
No?
Yes. There is and he is none other than Atletico Madrid star striker Radamel Falcao also known as 'El Tigre'.
The Colombia international, ahead of the new season which starts this weekend, is keen to challenge Messi and Ronaldo as the top scorer this time around.
To many, this will be wishful thinking but Falcao is confident he is able to give Messi and Ronaldo, a run for their money like they always say.
The stylish Falcao made his debut in Primera Liga last season and ended up with an impressive 24 goals and he is gunning for more.
Radamel Falcao
"It's up to me to improve on what I did last time around and that's my aim," he told official Primera Liga website.
"Messi and Ronaldo's goal tallies aren't out of my reach. But what I most want is to have a good season for the fans.
"I'm really looking forward to this new season. As for me, I'm better acclimatised to the Spanish league. We're really looking forward to improving on what we achieved last year, both individually and collectively," he warned.
Atletico begin their campaign with an away match against Levante on Monday (5am).
Okay, let's see how many league goals did Messi score last season? The Argentine magician ended up with 50 goals while Ronaldo 45!
Then only came Falcao in third spot with that 24 goals. In fourth place was Real's Gonzalo Higuain who scored two goals less.
It will be extremely difficult for Falcao to finish on top of the scorers' chart at the end of the season but there is no harm trying as anything can happen when it comes to football.
After all, the 26-year-old is natural goal scorer. He is also known for having a good burst of pace and a powerful header. And he can shoot with both feet as well.
It won't be surprised if Falcao score against Levante although "El Loco' predicts the game would end up in a draw.
Ronaldo will be involved in the biggest game of the weekend when champions Real entertain Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu on Monday (1am).
It may be a bit tricky but Real should start their campaign with a bang with Ronaldo scoring one or two goals
Messi and Barca, under new manager Tito Vilanova, entertain Real Sociedad at Nou Camp on Monday (3am) and should not have problems to get three points.
Expect Messi to score, of course.
And yes...Barca midfeld maestro Andres Iniesta’s off-season took an interesting turn after he lent his voice to a character in the animated feature, Pirates.
The 28-year-old provides the voice in the Spanish language version of the film for the character Pirata Albino, an albino pirate who is in intense pursuit of the coveted ‘Pirate of the Year’ award.
The film is produced by Aardman Animation Studios, the same company responsible for mainstream hits such as Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run.
"I'm very excited about this," Iniesta told Antenta 3. "It's great to think that in the future my daughter will be able to recognize me in an animated film."
Pirates will be released in Spain tomorrow, and has been in theatres in the United Kingdom since March.
What about acting in a non-animated movie, Andres?
Selamat Hari Raya to all.
Adios!
