eden_hazard12LONDON: Chelsea's £32 million attacking midfielder Eden Hazard (pic, right) is refusing to get carried away following a dream debut in their 2-0 win over Wigan in their Premier League opener at DW Stadium yesterday..

The former Lille man laid on Branislav Ivanovic’s early opening goal and then won a penalty which was converted by Frank Lampard.

He was substituted midway through the second half for fellow new signing Oscar and, despite impressing both Lampard and his manager, Roberto Di Matteo, the 21-year-old says he still has parts of his game to be improved on.

"There are still things to perfect," he told RMC Sport. "In the second half, I lost important balls. At the start of the match, it was very good.

"That's what's demanded of me: being decisive. It's very good and I hope it continues like that."

Hazard will be looking to continue his impressive start to his Chelsea career when the Blues visit newly-promoted Reading in midweek.

When asked about Hazard’s debut performance, Di Matteo told Sky Sports: "He was outstanding.

"He produced a lot of quality within this game and was always a threat. Difficult to mark, got away from his man. It was very pleasant to watch him today."
