KUALA LUMPUR, 28 FEBRUARY, 2012: The government has given a ‘no go’ to the staging of R&B artist Erykah Badu scheduled for tomorrow.

The reason given was that the act have breached the guideline of the Centre of Application for Filming and Performance of Foreign Artists (Puspal).

"Erykah Badu’s concert has been canceled because it breached the Puspal guideline where it touched on the religious sensitivities and Malaysian cultural values,” said the information minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim in his Twitter post.

Rais, however, did not mention clearly whether the decision was because there was a photo of the US artist with the word Allah tattooed near her chests.
