A WOMAN found beheaded and dismembered may have been eaten by her killer, police fear.
Tracey Woodford, 47, was found cut up in the bathroom of a flat half a mile from where she vanished.
Detectives are investigating whether part of her body was eaten as her murderer tried to dispose of her remains.
Officers were yesterday still searching for body parts amid fears they were dumped in woodland and down the toilet.
A police source said: “We do not have all the remains and all options are being considered.
"Some may have been eaten.”
Warehouse worker Christopher May, 50, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Last night police were continuing to question him.
Tracey was found dead three days after being reported missing by her family.
She lived with her mum Linda, 66, and brother Sean, 42, in her home town of Pontypridd, south Wales.
They were said to be “distraught”.
Tracey was last seen leaving a pub in the town with a man on Tuesday night.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: “A 50-year-old man remains in police custody and is assisting police with our enquiries.”
